Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Amendment to the Listing for the Plymouth Redbelly Turtle  
Abstract: We are proposing to amend the 50 CFR 17.11 entry for the Plymouth redbelly turtle (now referred to as the northern red-bellied cooter). Information gathered as part of a status review of the species indicates the bangsi subspecies designation is not taxonomically accurate. However, threats to the cooter remain such that the endangered classification is still warranted. The amendment will only be from a subspecies to a distinct population segment, as the range of the species is not expanding or contracting.
