Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Critical Habitat Designation for the Munz's Onion and San Jacinto Valley Crownscale
Abstract: We will designate critical habitat for two plants, the Munz' onion (Allium munzii) and San Jacinto Valley crownscale (Atriplex coronata var. notatior), under the ESA. On October 13, 1998, we listed both plant species as endangered. These plants occur in vernal pools and other wetlands or on clay soils and moist grasslands throughout their respective ranges in southwestern California and northwestern Baja California, Mexico.
