Abstract: We will propose to list as endangered or threatened and designate critical habitat for two Texas plants--Texas golden gladecress (Leavenworthia texana) and Neches River rose-mallow (Hibiscus dasycalyx)--under the Endangered Species Act. The Texas golden gladecress occurs in seepage glades in Sabine and San Augustine Counties in East Texas, and the Neches River rose-mallow occurs in open, semi-permanent wetlands in Cherokee, Houston, and Trinity Counties, East Texas.
