Title: ●Migratory Bird Permits; Removal of Depredation Orders
Abstract: We propose to remove 50 CFR 21.42, 21.45, and 21.46, all of which govern control of depredating migratory birds. Three counties in California have reported control of depredating birds under 50 CFR 21.44, while there have been no activities under the other sections for many years. Because the regulations are unused or little used, we propose to remove them. Control of depredating birds could still be undertaken under depredation permits.
