Title: ●Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Revision to the Nonessential Experimental Population Rule for the Endangered Red Wolf (Canis rufus)
Abstract: We plan to publish a proposed revision of the existing nonessential experimental population (NEP) of the endangered red wolf (Canis rufus). We are working to revise the existing NEP rule to address three specific issues: (1) To simplify reintroduced population information; (2) to explain changes in the protocols to manage red wolves and other canids; and (3) to clarify the legality of actions and the exemptions for take of red wolves.
