Title: Grand Canyon National Park
Abstract: This rule will update the provisions governing use of the Colorado River and adjoining federally owned lands within Grand Canyon National Park. Changes are necessary to make the rule consistent with, and to help implement portions of, the park's recently revised Colorado River Management Plan. The current rule governs the use of the Colorado River within the park upstream from Diamond Creek. In accordance with the new Colorado River Management Plan, the updated rule will regulate the use of the entire Colorado River and adjoining federally owned lands within the park, including the reach of the river from Diamond Creek to the boundary between the park and Lake Mead National Recreation Area (approximately River Mile 277). The new rule also will update or clarify some provisions of the current regulation and will delete other provisions as necessary.
