Title: Review of New Source Performance Standards for Nitric Acid Plants--Subpart G 
Abstract: Section 111(b)(1)(B) of the Clean Air act mandates that EPA review and if appropriate revise existing New Source Performance Standards (NSPS) at least every 8 years. This NSPS was initially promulgated in 1971. This NSPS was reviewed in 1979 and 1984. On January 2010, consent decree was entered into US District Court between EPA and several environmental groups. This action will review and if appropriate revise the existing NSPS.
