Title: ●Medical Certificate Endorsement Issue (RRR)
Abstract: This rulemaking would remove an amendment, imposed in 2008, requiring individuals granted the Special Issuance of a Medical Certificate to have their letter of Authorization in their physical possession or readily accessible on the aircraft while exercising pilot privileges. This rulemaking responds to a 2007 International Civil Aviation Organization audit finding, the Federal Aviation Administration mandated that individuals granted special issuance also carry their detailed letter of Authorization.
