Title: ●Airport Minimums
Abstract: This rulemaking would allow operators to conduct lower than standard instrument flight rules (IFR) operations at military airports or outside the United States when authorized to do so by their operations specifications. This action is necessary because that rule limits operators to takeoff minimum visibility of 1 mile, and a landing minimum visibility of ½ mile when conducting instrument flight rules operations. The intended affect of this action would conform with the requirements of the regulations governing operations at domestic civilian airports, which allow lower than standard IFR operations when authorized by a certificate holder?s operations specifications.
