| Title: ●Record Retention Requirements for Household Goods Motor Carriers | |
| Abstract: Individual shippers must sign for receipt of Federal consumer protection information concerning interstate transportation of household goods when they seek service from authorized motor carriers. A November 2010 final rule requires the signed receipt to be kept by household goods motor carriers for three years. A request was received to reduce the retention period to one year. This proceeding will consider this request to reduce the retention period to one year. | |
