| Abstract: This rulemaking would establish an enforcement policy regarding novelty motorcycle helmets. These are helmets that are currently not certified by their manufacturers as being compliant with FMVSS No. 218. This rulemaking would also add an appendix to FMVSS No. 218 to serve as a guide for motorcyclists and local law enforcement personnel in identifying compliant motorcycle helmets. | |
