Title: NASA FAR Supplement, Release and Handling of Restricted Information
Abstract: The NFS currently includes contract clauses that provide the legal authority for NASA to release restricted information to contractors and address the protection and handling of that information. However, the existing clauses have confused NASA employees and contractors. This rule clarifies the definition of "restricted information," the applicability of the clauses, the relationship of the NFS clause to other FAR data rights clauses, and also places this rule in the appropriate section, addressing data rights applicable to all contracts.
