Abstract: This rulemaking proposes to amend 33 CFR 162.138(a)(ii) in order to redefine the geographical points therein described that demarcate an area of the Detroit River in which certain vessels are restricted to speeds not greater than 12 statute miles per hour (10.4 knots). This proposed amendment is in response to concerns voiced by shipping industry representatives whose vessels operate within the affected area. | |
