Title: ●Harmonization of Airworthiness Standards-Gust and Maneuver Load Requirements
Abstract: This rulemaking would update requirements that address gust and maneuver loads, including engine failure loads. These changes are based on Aviation Rulemaking Advisory Committee (ARAC) recommendations incorporated in the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Certification Specifications for Large Aeroplanes (CS-25) requirements. ARAC tasked the Loads & Dynamics Harmonization Working Group to review and eliminate differences between EASA CS-25 and 14 CFR part 25. Since then, EASA has incorporated the recommended changes into CS-25, and this rulemaking would incorporate the CS-25 standards into 14 CFR part 25. This action would benefit manufacturers who would only need to consider one single set of certification requirements.
