Abstract: This rulemaking would revise the nitrous oxide (NOx) emission standards for fuel venting and exhaust emission requirements for turbine-engine powered airplanes; amend Identification and Registration Marking for aircraft engines; add compliance flexibilities and other regulatory requirements for aircraft turbofan or turbojet engines with rated thrust greater than 26.7 kN, and incorporate certain requirements for aircraft gas turbine engines subject to exhaust emission standards. This rulemaking is necessary to conform with new EPA requirements and harmonize with ICAO standards. This rulemaking was recently downgraded to nonsignificant and will not appear on next month´s report. | |
