| Abstract: This rulemaking would add a new requirement for a ban on non-Stage 3 compliant airplanes under 75,000 pounds. Congress has mandated, by the FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012, that after December 31, 2015, such airplanes will be prohibited from operation in the contiguous United States unless they meet Stage 3 noise levels. | |
