Abstract: This rulemaking would propose amendments to the regulation 49 CFR part 613 and 23 CFR Part 450 under which the FTA and the FHWA respectively administer the Metropolitan Transportation Planning program authorized by 49 USC Section 5303 and 23 USC 134 and the Statewide Non-Metropolitan Transportation Planning program authorized by 49 USC 5304 and 23 USC 135. Sections 1201 and 1202 of MAP-21 replace 23 USC 134 and 135, to require a continuing, comprehensive, and coordinated transportation planning and programming process in metropolitan areas, nonmetropolitan areas, and Statewide. | |
