Title: ●Basel III Conforming Amendments
Abstract: The OCC plans to issue a proposed rule that would amend the OCC's rules for national banks and Federal savings associations to make those rules consistent with the Basel III final rule. This would include: (1) changing cross references, as appropriate; (2) revising the rules governing subordinated debt (section 5.47 for national banks and section 163.81 for Federal savings associations); and (3) considering how to define capital for purposes of various statutory limitations on bank and savings association activities that are based on capital.
