Title: Risk-Based Asset Management Plan (MAP-21) | |
Abstract: This rulemaking would establish a process for the development of a State risk-based asset management plan in accordance with section 1106 of the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21). This rulemaking would define a process for developing asset management plans that lead to a strategic program of projects that would make progress toward achievement of the StatesĀ“ targets for asset condition and performance of the National Highway System in accordance with 23 U.S.C. 150(d) and support the progress toward the achievement of the national goals identified in 23 U.S.C. 150(b). This rulemaking would also define the minimum standards for States to use in developing and operating highway bridge and pavement management systems required under 23 U.S.C. 150(c)(3)(A)(i). | |
