Title: World Trade Center Health Program; Amendments to List of WTC-Related Health Conditions; Cancer; Revision
Abstract: On September 12, 2012, HHS published a final rule adding certain types of cancer to the List of WTC-Related Health Conditions (List) in 42 CFR 88.1. The WTC Program Administrator has identified the need to amend the rule to remove the ICD codes and specific cancer sub-sites, to revise the definitions of "rare cancers," and put stakeholders on notice that the Administrator is revising the WTC Health Program policy related to coverage of cancers of the brain and pancreas. No types of cancer currently covered by the WTC Health Program will be removed by this action.
