Title: Reform of Requirements for Long-Term Care Facilities and Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Program (CMS-3260-P)
Abstract: This proposed rule would reform the Medicare requirements for long-term care facilities to reflect significant changes in the industry and remove obsolete or unnecessary provisions. In addition, under the Affordable Care Act, this rule would propose to expand the level and scope of required QAPI activities to ensure that facilities continuously identify and correct quality deficiencies as well as promote and sustain performance improvement.
