Abstract:
CBP plans to issue amendments to CBP regulations to reflect a new internal organizational entity known as a Center of Excellence and Expertise (CEE) and to shift authority to make certain decisions regarding customs transactions from port directors to the directors of the CEEs. The goals of the CEEs are to facilitate trade, reduce transaction costs, increase compliance with applicable import laws, and to achieve uniformity of treatment at the ports of entry for identified industries. |
