Title: Improving the Academic Achievement of the Disadvantaged, Title I, Subpart C--Migrant Education Programs | |
Abstract:
These regulations will govern the submission of records to, and receipt of information from, the Migrant Student Information Exchange, a congressionally mandated national mechanism for electronically exchanging records on migrant students. They also will condition a State educational agency's receipt of Migrant Education Program funds on its agreement to comply with those regulations. The mechanism allows school staffs in different States to electronically exchange basic health and educational information to facilitate, for migrant children, timely school enrollment, placement, and accrual of secondary course credits. |
