Title: Standards for Packaged Terminal Air Conditioners and Packaged Terminal Heat Pumps | |
Abstract:
DOE is required by EPCA to either propose amended energy conservation standards for packaged terminal air conditioners and heat pumps, or to determine that the existing standards do not need to be amended. DOE is conducting this rulemaking to fulfill that statutory obligation. DOE must determine whether national standards more stringent than those currently in place would result in a significant additional amount of energy savings and whether such standards would be technologically feasible and economically justified. |
