Title: Hazardous Waste Export-Import Revisions Rule
Abstract:

The EPA is considering the development of proposed revisions to the hazardous waste export-import related requirements in 40 CFR parts 261-266 and 273 for the purpose of (1) making existing non-Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) export and import-related requirements more consistent with the current OECD import-export requirements; (2) enabling electronic submittal of all export and import-related documents (e.g., export notices, export annual reports), to the extent possible; and (3) enabling electronic validation of consent in the Automated Export System (AES) for export shipments subject to RCRA export consent requirements prior to exit. This rulemaking is also being undertaken to comply with Executive Order 13659, Streamlining the Export/Import Process for America's Businesses.
