Title: Data Requirements Rule for the 1-Hour Sulfur Dioxide Primary National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) | |
Abstract:
This final rule will describe procedures for air agencies to characterize sulfur dioxide concentrations through ambient monitoring or air quality modeling techniques in targeted areas around the country in which the largest sources of emissions are located. The air quality information collected by the air agencies will then be used by the EPA to inform future rounds of area designations under the Clean Air Act. The rule will reference appropriate recommended guidance on monitoring and modeling techniques, and it will include timelines for air agencies to conduct the recommended analyses. |
