Abstract: This rulemaking would provide requirements to protect pedestrian heads and legs when impacted by the front end of vehicles. NHTSA initiated this rulemaking following the establishment of the Global Technical Regulation (GTR) by the UNECEĀ“s World Forum for the Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations (WP.29) in November 2008 and plans to base the new FMVSS on the GTR. | |
