Title: Statewide and Nonmetropolitan Transportation Planning; Metropolitan Transportation Planning (MAP-21) 
Abstract:

This rulemaking would propose amendments 49 CFR part 613 and 23 CFR part 450 under which the FTA and the FHWA respectively administer the Metropolitan Transportation Planning program and the Statewide Nonmetropolitan Transportation Planning program. MAP-21 requires a continuing, comprehensive, and coordinated transportation planning and programming process in metropolitan areas, nonmetropolitan areas, and statewide.
