Title: Reducing Disturbances to Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins from Human Interactions
Abstract:

National Marine Fisheries Service is developing a rule that will protect essential resting habitat of wild spinner dolphins in the main Hawaiian Islands by reducing the human activities that may cause take, as defined in the Marine Mammal Protection Act, or otherwise adversely affect dolphins. The action proposes a suite of management measures that may include time-area closures in four bays on the island of Hawaii, and one on the island of Maui.
