Title: Regulatory Amendment to Modify Equipment and Operational Requirements for At-Sea Scales 
Abstract: This rule modified the equipment and operational requirements for at-sea scales used to measure catch weights onboard catcher/processors fishing off Alaska. It implemented a suite of modifications to the requirements for scale testing, auditing, and reporting, and added a requirement for video monitoring of the scales. This action was necessary to reduce the potential for fraud, improve catch accounting accuracy, and bring regulations up-to-date with recent changes in technology. Approximately 70 catcher/processors were affected by this action.
