Title: Further Implementation of Trafficking in Persons Policy (DFARS Case 2013-D007) | |
Abstract:
DoD amended the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to further implement DoD Trafficking in Persons policy to improve awareness, compliance, and enforcement. This case responds to concerns raised at congressional hearings on Combating Trafficking in Persons. FAR Clause 52.222-50, combating trafficking in persons, is required in all U.S. Government contracts. In 2011, DoD took initial steps to improve preparation for implementing combating trafficking in persons in DoD contracts by adding planning requirements and a new DFARS contract administration function for combating trafficking in persons. None of the requirements are expected to impose a significant economic burden on small business concerns. |
