Title: Requirements Relating to Supply Chain Risk (DFARS Case 2012-D050)
Abstract:

DoD is issuing a final rule to amend the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to implement section 806 of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2011 (Pub. L. 111-383), entitled "Requirements for Information Relating to Supply Chain Risk," as amended by section 806 of the NDAA for FY 2013 (Pub. L. 112-239). Section 806 allows DoD to consider the impact of supply chain risk in specified types of procurements related to national security systems. The objective of this rule is to protect DoD against risks arising out of the supply chain. DoD does not expect this rule to have a significant economic impact on a substantial number of small entities.
