Title: ●Multiyear Contract Requirements (DFARS Case 2015-D009) | |
Abstract:
DoD is proposing to amend the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to implement section 816 of the NDAA for FY 2015 (Pub. L. 113-291) and section 8010 of the Consolidated and Further Continuing Appropriations Act, 2015 (Pub. L. 113-235). Section 816 amends subsection (i) of 10 USC 2306b to require certification by the Secretary of Defense not later than 30 days prior to award of a multiyear contract for a defense acquisition program specifically authorized by law to be carried out using multiyear contract authority. Section 8010 requires notification of the congressional defense committees 30 days prior to termination of a multiyear contract. DoD does not expect this rule to have a significant economic impact on a substantial number of small entities. |
