Title: Administrative Simplification: Enhancement to NCPDP, D.0 Guide; Maintenance Changes to Electronic Data Transaction Standards Adopted Under HIPAA (CMS-0039-P) | |
Abstract:
This proposed rule would adopt enhancements to the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) Version D.0 Telecommunication Standard under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) for conducting standard pharmacy claims transactions. It also proposes adoption of the NCPDP Script Standard as a HIPAA standard. These enhancements support requirements for the Medicare Part D program related to partial fills for controlled substances and Part D eligibility verification. |
