Title: Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information Systems (SACWIS) | |
Abstract:
This rule would amend the Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (SACWIS) regulations to increase flexibility for States and tribes in the design, development, implementation, and operation of information systems in their title IV-B and IV-E programs. Since publication of the initial SACWIS regulations in 1993, the program environment and technology capabilities have significantly changed. This proposed rule would help title IV-B and IV-E agencies accommodate emerging business processes and technologies. It proposes to replace the current statewide automated child welfare information system (SACWIS) regulations in their entirety. The NPRM also would amend fiscal regulations pertaining to SACWIS systems. |
