Title: Incorporation of Updates of Crane Standards 
Abstract:

The BSEE is incorporating by reference the Seventh Edition of the American Petroleum Institute's (API) Specification "Offshore Pedestal-Mounted Cranes" (API Spec 2C) into its regulations. This standard was rewritten by API to provide more detailed specifications for design and manufacture of cranes to address their intended use. We plan to add the updated edition through a proposed rule. This approach will allow BSEE to reference the best and most up-to-date requirements for the design and construction of pedestal-mounted cranes for Outer Continental Shelf fixed platforms.
