Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Reclassification of the Mexican Wolf as an Endangered Subspecies
Abstract: We published a comprehensive gray wolf rule on June 13, 2013, that proposed to: (1) Remove the gray wolf entity from the List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; and (2) list the Mexican gray wolf subspecies as endangered. On January 16, 2015, we finalized a rule listing the Mexican wolf as an endangered subspecies. We have separated our determination on the listing of the Mexican wolf as endangered from the determination on the proposal regarding the delisting of the gray wolf in the United States and Mexico.
