Abstract: The Department of State is proposing to amend the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) to clarify the requirements for compliance with the Arms Export Control Act (AECA) and the ITAR with regard to the maintenance of records and, when requested, the provision of such records to the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. This proposed amendment is intended to enhance the Department's oversight of transactions regulated by the AECA and the ITAR. | |
