Title: Management of Federal Agency Receipts, Disbursements and Operation of the Cash Management Improvements Fund | |
Abstract:
The Department of the Treasury, Bureau of the Fiscal Service (Service) is seeking comments, data and information from the public about the costs, benefits and general considerations of mandating that non-tax payments to the government be made electronically. The Service intends to issue a proposal to amend our regulations at 31 CFR part 206 governing the collection of public money in order to implement the Service's statutory authority to mandate that payments to the Federal government (other than tax payments) be made electronically. Your comments will help the Service better understand and evaluate the effects on individuals and businesses of a requirement to make payments to Federal agencies electronically. This Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANPRM) asks for input on several broad categories of questions. |
