Title: Energy Efficiency Standards for Commercial and Industrial Gas Compressors | |
Abstract:
DOE initiated a rulemaking for commercial and industrial compressors under part A-1 of title III of the Energy Policy and Conservation Act (EPCA), as amended under RIN 1904-AC83, which covered compressors in general. DOE understands that air compressors and gas compressors are different types of equipment serving different markets, so DOE is establishing separate rulemakings to address energy conservation standards for: (1) commercial and industrial air compressors; and (2) commercial and industrial gas compressors. To this end, DOE is splitting RIN 1904-AC83 into two separate rulemakings as follows: (1) air compressors under 1904-AC83; and (2) gas compressors under this RIN. |
