DOE/NNSA RIN: 1994-AA02 Publication ID: Spring 2015
Title: Assistance to Foreign Atomic Energy Activities
Abstract:

DOE is amending its regulations at 10 CFR part 810 concerning unclassified assistance to foreign atomic energy activities. The amendments are being made to reflect a need to make the regulations consistent with current global civil nuclear trade practices and nonproliferation norms and to update the activities and technologies subject to the Secretary's specific authorization and DOE reporting requirements.  These regulations provide guidelines for which exports would be generally authorized, and for which destinations would require a specific authorization by the Secretary of Energy, when persons subject to the jurisdiction of the United States engage directly or indirectly in the production of special nuclear material outside the United States.
