Title: Reimbursement for Caskets and Urns for Unclaimed Veterans Without Sufficient Resources for Burial 
Abstract:

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) National Cemetery Administration (NCA) proposes to amend part 38 of title 38 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) to implement a statutory amendment to section 2306 of title 38 of the United States Code, as authorized by Public Law 112-260, the Dignified Burial and Other Veteran Benefits Improvement Act of 2012. The proposed rule would implement regulations governing the provision of a reimbursement for caskets and urns purchased for the remains of Veterans with no known next-of-kin and insufficient resources for burial.
