Title: General Services Administration Acquisition Regulation (GSAR); GSAR Case 2008-G509, Rewrite GSAR 536, Construction and Architect-Engineer Contracts | |
Abstract:
The General Services Administration issued a proposed rule amending the General Services Administration Regulation (GSAR) to update the text addressing GSAR part 536, Construction and Architect-Engineer Contracts. This rule was a result of the GSA Acquisition Manual (GSAM) rewrite initiative undertaken by GSA to update internal policy and procedures pertaining to construction and architect-engineer contracts. The case will delete outdated material (such as the coverage at 536.271 on Project Labor Agreements (PLAs): these are now covered in Federal Acquisition Regulation part 22.5), and update regulatory references. This rule was withdrawn because the General Services Administration believes that an agency review of the current implementation plan for this GSAR case is appropriate to address the variety of issues included in the GSAR part 536 Rewrite and to address strong stakeholder interest. |
