Abstract:

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) plans to add regulations to 49 CFR part 801, to provide two new subparts. One subpart will address voluntarily submitted safety information, which the NTSB’s governing statute prohibits from disclosure. The other subpart will address the handling of sensitive security information the NTSB may obtain in investigating transportation occurrences.
