Title: Career and Career-Conditional Employment; Creditable Service 
Abstract:

The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) will issue a final rule to change the regulations on creditable service for career tenure. The proposed regulation removes the requirement for creditable service to be substantially continuous. This change will assist individuals who leave Federal service before meeting the required length of service and subsequently return to a qualifying appointment.
