Title: Commercial Fishing Vessels Dispensing Petroleum | |
Abstract:
The Coast Guard proposes revisions to its regulations for commercial fishing vessels (CFVs) carrying flammable or combustible liquid cargoes in bulk. The revisions would reflect 1983 and 1984 statutory changes and simplify regulatory text by grouping related material. Commercial fishing and fish tender vessels of not more than 500 gross tons would no longer be covered by the regulations, which would continue to apply only to fish processing vessels of not more than 5,000 gross tons. This rulemaking promotes the Coast Guard's maritime safety mission. |
