Title: ●State Implementation Plans
Abstract: The Department is proposing regulations that will amend current regulations governing the State consolidated applications required under section 9302 of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, as amended. The regulations will provide for a new, outcomes-oriented State implementation plan (SIP) that will better support State efforts to achieve strategic goals throughout their education systems. This plan will support States in meeting Federal program requirements, while also working strategically to improve educational outcomes. In addition, the SIP will enable the Department to identify technical assistance needs and implement an outcomes-oriented performance management system to assess State progress.
