Title: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Promotion
Abstract:

This rule proposes to implement section 4018 of the Agricultural Act of 2014. This section created new limitations on the use of Federal funds authorized in the Food and Nutrition Act for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) promotion and outreach activities.  These changes will affect the type of promotion expenses eligible for 50 percent Federal reimbursement conducted by State agencies and their community partners.  This regulation will codify section 4018 of the Agricultural Act of 2014 which establishes new parameters regarding how funds authorized by the Food and Nutrition Act may be spent to promote SNAP. The Agricultural Act of 2014 makes these changes by amending sections 16(a)(4) and 18 of the Food and Nutrition Act.
