Title: ●Changes in Requirements for Affidavits or Declarations of Use, Continued Use, or Excusable Nonuse in Trademark Cases 
Abstract:

In order to assess and promote the accuracy and integrity of the trademark register, the USPTO proposes to amend its rules to allow the USPTO, during the examination of affidavits or declarations of continued use or excusable nonuse filed pursuant to section 8 of the Trademark Act, 15 U.S.C. 1058, or affidavits or declarations of use in commerce or excusable nonuse filed pursuant to section 71 of the Trademark Act, 15 U.S.C. 1141k, to require such information, exhibits, affidavits or declarations, and such additional specimens as may be reasonably necessary for the USPTO to ensure that the register accurately reflects marks that are in use in the United States for the goods/services/collective membership organizations identified in the registrations.
