Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Critical Habitat Designation for the Black Warrior Waterdog
Abstract:

We will designate critical habitat, to the maximum extent prudent and determinable, under the Endangered Species Act for the Black Warrior waterdog. We are developing a listing determination for the Black Warrior waterdog species, currently a candidate species, as a separate rulemaking action (RIN 1018-BA78). The Black Warrior waterdog is a salamander species that inhabits streams within the Black Warrior River Basin in Alabama, including parts of the North River, Locust Fork, Mulberry Fork, and Sipsey Fork drainages and their tributaries.
